The Malaysian Association for Powerlifting (Persatuan Powerlifting Malaysia) is the National Governing Body under the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia (Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia).

We are the Official Member Nation to the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) and the Asian Powerlifting Federation (APF).

As an affiliate of the IPF, the association hosts a variety of local sanctioned competitions, as well as the annual National Championships in order to select and nominate National Athletes to represent the country to compete in international events such as the Southeast Asian Cup, Asian Championships, Commonwealth Championships, World Championships and much more.

MAP follows the international testing protocol established by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). All testing are done both in-competition and out-of-competition, conducted via our National Anti-Doping Organization, Anti-Doping Agency of Malaysia (ADAMAS). All registered MAP members are subjected to testing at anytime, anywhere, in accordance with the WADA guidelines.
