Only costumes, support shirts, wraps and singlets from commercial manufacturers officially registered and approved by the Technical Committee shall be permitted for use in all official Powerlifting competitions.
Only bars and plates, squat racks, bench racks and benches from commercial manufacturers officially registered and approved by the Technical Committee shall be permitted for use in National Qualifiers and National Championships. The setting of National Records must be made with Bars and Discs featured on this list.
The current list will remain in force until 31-12-2022 and the new list will come into effect on 01-01-2023.
In order to assist with identification, the International Powerlifting Federation have introduced IPF ID numbers to clearly identify each item and they will store a physical sample of each at IPF Headquarters as a reference product. They will also link photographs of each item to the Approved List to assist with identification. The text version is available now and we expect to have completed the full version online from IPF, with photographs available, by the end of the year.
This is an addendum to the IPF List of Approved Equipments, whereby the items here are recognized as MAP approved equipment for the calendar year of 2024. All gears in this list are only valid for National Qualifiers and National Championships level meets hosted by MAP, therefore it is not applicable to be used at International level competitions organized directly by the IPF.
